About Me
I am a child, adolescent and adult psychoanalyst, working in Chevy Chase, Maryland with individual adults and children, couples and families. I trained as a physician and specialized as a psychiatrist in Scotland and London before emigrating to the U.S. in 1974. I retrained at George Washington University Hospital and Childrens National Medical Center, and graduated from the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute in 1989 and became certified by APsaA in child and adult analysis in 1990. I have been a clinical professor of psychiatry at Georgetown University for over 20 years. I am an author, edito,r and series editor at Karnac.
